Gone
Friends lost their mother to cancer this morning.
They found out she was sick only a couple months ago, so their mother's passing has been so sudden. That someone you love can slip away from you so quickly isn't something I like to think about ... but now that my friends' situation has my attention ....
Instead of spending my son's naptime blogging today, I think I will spend some time calling / mailing / e-mailing the mothers in my life (mother, stepmother, husband's mother) and sending them something in the mail like a picture of my son.
Peace....

Oh Holly, I am so sorry to hear. My condolences to your friends and their families.
I am so sorry to hear that. And it is good that you decided to call/email/mail some mothers in your life. Seeing someone go through that really makes you think about things in a different way. Cancer is an awful thing. We lost my husband's brother in May. He also only made it almost two months after diagnosis. I feel for your friends.
so sad. sorry for the loss
stories like this is why, in general, I try to not get too caught up with my blogging. I love doing it, but sometimes I find myself spending too much time with my virtual friends (who are still real friends, I'd like to add) and not enough time with the people right here in my home. So I've been trying to simplify and not get too caught up in "I must post every day".
hugs to your friends. And kudos to you for spending your time wisely this day.
Sorry to hear this. It's always a good idea to stay connected to those you love!
I am so sincerely sorry Holly. You are so right to re-prioritize.
Best wishes my friend.
Your friends will be in our prayers over here.
I think I'll go call my mommy.
Sorry to hear that. Life changes so quickly. I lost my dad about 6 months after he was diagnosed. You're right, we should focus on the important people in life.
Oh what an excellent reminder to love on our moms. Thank you!
