Wading birds

I took this picture in my backyard.
Ha!
No, really this flamingo and white ibis live at the Palm Beach Zoo.
I've had plenty of white ibises in my yard. But flamingos? They're actually rare in the wild in Florida.

I was about to be REALLY jelous, what I would give to have a flamingo in my back yard, then I saw you were joking lol. I would still like to see at the zoo...maybe one day ill make it to Florida.
Nice photo. Great detail on the birds.
In a similar way, we like to joke about some of our ocean photos being our backyard ;)
love it! Something very photogenic about flamingos. They are so other-wordly with those spindly legs.
happy WW!

I've never been to that zoo :) What a great shot.
I'm a bit partial to the ibis though. UM alums have to be. It's a rule or something ;)
I totally believed you! That's a beautiful shot.
According to Miami Vice there are flamingos everywhere. Does that mean that everything I see on TV isn't true? What a crock.
Very cool picture. My grandparent's used to live near the Hialeah Racetrack. Growing up you could see the flamingos occasionally circling overhead. At least that's what I remember, I hope I wasn't hallucinating.
