Awesome Trucks Day

Last Sunday was Awesome Trucks Day (yes, with Capital Letters!) at Topeekeegee Yugnee Park. So we had to go, out of curiosity and to verify the awesomeness.
My son got to verify that for himself.

There were, I don't know, 30 trucks of all kinds for kids to ogle and climb on. Bigger kids even waited in line for a ride in this:

Or to operate a front-end loader. With some help, of course.
Smaller kids scrambled up onto these:

But I am still wondering why one of them had a hood ornament:

A giant fire truck with a huge ladder was the biggest hit:

But the Man-cub was happy sitting in a street sweeper all the same.

The simple joys of childhood . . . .

Those are some pretty cool trucks! I really liked the second one.... what the heck is it anyway? Looks like a Gator on steriods! :D
Aw. Boys and trucks. They're like a match made in heaven :)

That is awesome! My boys would have loved that and there would have been a lot of tears when it was time to leave.
Wow! What an awesome day. We've tried to take the kids to something like this but they were terrified lol.
wow, what a great thing! My little guy would have been in heaven!
Awesome trucks! But the most impressive thing I saw was people in shorts. I'll trade you some snow.

Oh my, my little guy would have DIED and gone to heaven with all that cool machinery Holly!!
That is the AWESOMESTEST thing I've seen in a while.
Little boy heaven -- we're all little boys.
Oh ha ha ha ha! The comment about the street sweeper is hysterical. They get so much entertainment out of the simplest things at this age, don't they? Too cute!!
Oh my goodness, this would be a dream come true for my nephew who loves car, trucks.........
We have a Transportation Fair every May here that I take the kids to. They love to see all the different vehicles.

Awesome stuff, when you're a kid. Speaking of awesome stuff, the Godiva Chocolate Covered Cashews were absolutely delicious. I hope you don't mind I mentioned your gift, your profile and your blog in my post for Monday. Thank you, Holly, so much.
