CSI: Laundry

Sometimes, I find money in the wash. That's fine, except usually it's only like a dime or something.
Sometimes, I find a receipt that got forgotten in a pocket. That's usually unfortunate, because paper fluff has gotten all over the whole load of wash.
And sometimes, I find something peculiar, as I did last week.

I'm no CSI agent and I don't know much about forensics, but even without dental records I believe these are the remains of a gummy bear. Actually, a gummy bear vitamin. And let me tell you, it was extremely gummy by the time I found it here. I don't think the little guy stood a chance against all that water, soap and friction.
The case has been closed, but I still wonder if, like Humpty Dumpty, he was pushed.

Hilarious post! CSI laundry. I love it.
I can totally relate. Just yesterday, I was loading a stack of clothes into our washing machine when I noticed a gummy vitamin sandwiched between two socks. It took me a few minutes to scrape the gumminess from the clothes! :)

hehehe someone was a trickster!
Oh what a hoot. Me thinks you need to fingerprint. :)
HAHAHA...he was pushed!!
I am notoriously bad at emptying pockets so there are always presents in the bottom of my wash. It's probably not good for the wash to find rocks three times a week...
that poor poor gummy bear lol
great photo friday
If he wasn't pushed, I'm not sure I want to meet the gummy bear that can climb up the side of a washer...
too funny! It's always entertaining to see what's at the bottom of the washing machine.
Are there any suspects?
I bet it was a crime of passion.
at least it was in the wash and not melted in the dryer!
i love it
you say he was pushed - ha
I suspect a little person who was supposed to ingest this little bear being behind its demise.
A gummy bear should never meet such a cruel end.
Doing wash is a lot like eating a box of Cracker Jacks, you never know what kind of prize you'll find.
lol!!! That is hilarious! I like the last line, "pushed"!
This is great.... poor defenseless gummy bear!
That is too funny. I'm not sure I would have been able to figure out what that was!
It's a conspiracy, man.
People NEVER suspect the laundry.
I immediately recognized the gummy bear, and just before I questioned why in the world it was forgotten in the laundry I read the word vitamin.
Makes perfect sense now. Poor little gummy didn't have much of a chance!
lol. I wonder where that little guy was squirreled away. At least he didn't make it into the dryer, what a mess that would've been.
This could become a weekly feature at our house! And somehow it's always my fault, because it's clear MY job to check the pockets of all clothes before they go in the wash.
