Disney on Ice: Worlds of Fantasy

Here I am with my son, friends and my best I've-never-been-a-VIP-before smile. Oh yeah, and some celebrities known as Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse.
We got to meet them as Mom Central VIPs (and got the royal treatment from Feld Entertainment, which puts on the Disney on Ice shows) before opening night of Disney on Ice: Worlds of Fantasy. It was fantastic! The show is going to be in the South Florida area through April 5.
We later saw Mickey strut his stuff on the ice.

Lightning McQueen (from Cars) showed us how cars can move across the ice and not crash or spin out.

And so did his posse.

Then Ariel and Prince Eric from the Little Mermaid showed up. I promise she wasn't topless.

Come on and kiss the girl already, Sebastian implored. (Who knew crabs could be so romantic?)

Simba used Nala as a comb for his wild mane.

Then the whole Lion King cast, plus herds of animals, touted the circle of life.

The second half of the show was all about the fairies.

Tinkerbell actually flew. I could do this, too. Totally.

But I wouldn't look like this when it was all over.

The finale had a perfect Disney ending.

Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy came back out for the grand finish, much to the Man-cub's relief. He was really worried about where they had gone.

And maybe just a teeny bit worn out from all the excitement.

Oh my guy would have died and gone to heaven (ESPECIALLY when Lightning McQueen appeared) - what a fun time Holly!
That's certainly not the Disney on Ice of my youth! Very cool, and now you've got me all primed for our trip to Disneyland in May!
Looks like a fun show!
Seems like a fun time was had. I don't know if my two year old would have sat through it though, he did alright with Walking With Dinosaurs though, so maybe. Great pictures...
That looks as though it must have been great fun. how lucky for your kids.
Great post! It looks like you saw one amazing show. My son would have died over seeing the characters from Cars. Lucky you!
Did you notice that something has been missing from your blog? It might have appeared around the time I stopped commenting? I’m sorry about all that. I took a little hiatus from the blogosphere, but I couldn’t stay away too long. After a break, I had to come by again and see what you’ve been up to.
Glad that I did.

I heard so many great things about Disney on Ice this year I wanted to take my kids SO BAD. I haven't been since I was probably 8 years old! (yes they've been doing Disney on Ice THAT long) But schedules just didn't like up right for me to be able to fit it in and we didn't make it. The kids took it like champs, I'm the one that cried.
