Nature activity for kids: feed the birds
To wrap up my award-worthy (heh!) series of nature activities for kids in honor of National Wildlife Week, I thought I'd make a video. This will tell you everything you need to know about feeding birds in your backyard.

OK, actually it won't.
But the video will show you how we attract birds to our yard -- a great activity for kids, as you'll see. You can find more tips on feeding birds here.
If feathered critters aren't your thing, today's alternate activity is to make a water scope.
I hope you enjoyed at least one of the posts this week. Here is a list:
Thanks for putting up with the nature nerd side of me.

Now that spring is on its way here, I hear the birds more and more. I don't have any feeders up but I think maybe this year I will try it. Glad you decided to post the video, like your sweet voice! Looks beautiful and warm there. We are slowly thawing here!
Love the video!!!
We have one bird feeder in our apple tree. The birds love that tree.
We go in spurts of feeding the birds, then not. The raccoons tend to raid the feeders a lot. We have 6 feeders. It's so relaxing to sit and watch the birds through our big front window.
Your video made me laugh. I think you have a future as a film maker.
"hooowd dit"- he's adorable!
What a fun clip! I love that you filmed your shadow. I have no idea what you're talking about. You have an incredibly sweet, soothing voice. However, I can totally relate. I don't even leave messages on answering machines for the same reason.
You are funny and your little boy is growing up so fast, it's great that he loves nature. By the way, I like your voice a lot more than I like mine!
You have the most fantastic voice in the world. And I LOVE the idea of filming your shadow-- very creative!!
