Natural cosmetics: Mineral makeup kit giveaway
You know I love the Whole Foods podcasts. Well this month, they are talking about natural cosmetics, and they are giving away Mineral Fusion makeup kits worth $90! You might win one.
Ever since I found out a couple years ago that many cosmetics and even everyday toiletries like shampoo and body lotion contain chemicals that can cause cancer or affect your hormones, I started checking the Environmental Working Group's Skin Deep database of health and beauty products. It helps me feel better about what I put on my skin.
It turns out that Whole Foods carries some of the safer products on the Skin Deep lists. The Whole Foods podcast covers what to look for and what to avoid when shopping for natural cosmetics.
For the giveaway, Whole Foods offers one of two makeup kits.
The Innocent Peach kit includes:
• Blush in flashy
• Lip Gloss in dazzle
• Eye Shadow in prism
• Blotting Papers
• DVD: Tips and Techniques
The Delicate Rose kit includes:
• Blush in creation
• Lip Gloss in captivate
• Eye Shadow in unique

Sometimes it gets so confusing which products are good and which are bad. I use earth friendly shampoo conditioner and body wash since we live next to the ocean. Make up I am still at a loss!
I have always been interested in the mineral make-up but a little leery of trying something new. I didn't realize there was a chemical-free version. Interesting!

I've been meaning to try out some mineral makeup...I just haven't bought any yet.
Would be a cool prize. It's not until lately that I even thought about the ingredients in what I put on my face on a daily basis!
