Daily exercise is so important

This ... used to be me. I mean, I didn't look like Barbie or any kind of step aerobics instructor, but this was my workout of choice.

Except I had to be cheap weird original and use a milk crate, of all things.

See, I couldn't settle for just any exercise step. This was tall! So I felt I was getting a harder workout! I had to be all Extreme Home Step Aerobics! And sometimes, the milk crate would topple over, so there was an element of danger.

(That's me, Mrs. Element of Danger!)

Or, was me. When you're pregnant and can't see your feet, and when what you're standing on slips underneath you, it's easy to see how the milk crate became my ex-BFF. So I got a homogenized real stepper.

And let me tell you, this stepper is still a hot item around my house. This is how I use my stepper now.

It's a great way to heft my pregnant self onto our tall bed. I don't burn as many calories, and my legs and butt aren't as firm, but I sure can get into and out of bed a lot easier. Who needs danger when a soft pillow awaits?

Ha! I know the feeling. We got a new bed when I was 8 months pregnant, so that the old bed could go into the guest room for all the kindly grandparents coming to help. And the new bed was so tall that I had to put a footstool nearby!

Awesome- my auntie uses her stepper as a mini-ladder to the bed too...for her dog!!!

On a somewhat related note, have you tried the Wii Fit for exercise? Preggos heart it! :D

That's the very BEST use of a stepper.

When I was pregnant with my second child, my husband went and bought a WATERBED. Not the kind with the tubes or the kind inside a mattress, but the big giant bag of water with sheets and blankets on top of it. Getting in and out of bed probably burned enough calories to keep me at 100 pounds flat until I was 25.

What a hoot!

That wii fit hates me too. Now that I've gained 238098908402384 pounds with this pregnancy it basically tells me I'm too fat to play.

I never did have one of those steppers, though I would imagine it would definitely come in handy to help you climb into bed! Our bed is pretty high up and when I was fully pregnant it would literally take me a few minutes to figure out how to climb in bed!!

That's great about your high school friend with 2 sets of twins. I only know one other person who had to do IVF to conceive the 1st set with the 2nd set conceived spontaneously! Maybe the 3 of us should form our own special club!

This is especially funny to me as our exercise bike is currently serving as a drying rack for our clothes since the dryer is on the fritz. Of course, I don't have pregnancy to blame for it. Sigh.

And really when you're preggers that sleep is wayyy more important than the exercise! lol Too funny!

Ha! I've never been very into organized exercising with or without a milk crate. But, I can certainly see the use in an aerobic step stool. ;)

LOL! I'm still giggling at the milk crate. That HAD to be killer on your legs during a work out!

Ah-if you like the tall step you MUST do Firm Direct workouts and buy their fanny lifter. Yes, that's what they call it! But it's just a really tall step and there is NOTHING like it for getting great looking buns. Seriously. I've been doing The Firm since the early 80's back when they were the first aerobic serious out there that combined hand weights with aerobics for greater fat loss. I still have those VHS tapes that I do, leg warmers and all! And I was using stools and such for years until I finally broke down this year and bought the actual fanny lifter. And this is NOT a spam message I swear. I don't get paid to say any of this. I just really love their workouts. Did one just this morning.

Of course, you'll want to wait until the baby is a few weeks old first.....like when you're getting some sleep again you know.
