My middle child, when she was little, caught a grasshopper and called it Jumpy. Every year, Jumpy would return- as far as she saw it. She'd just come running back inside yelling "Look, Mom! Jumpy came back!"
Now she's almost 15, my husband is ferociously killing grasshoppers in the garden, and she's trying to save them all...
I like it...as long as it's not jumping on my person, in which case I'd likely try to kill it with exaggerated swatting motions and quite a bit of shrieking. ;)
Now that is a grasshopper! Levi would go gaga. We usually just see little ones around these parts.
