I can has litterbox?

Do you see something wrong with this picture? (Other than the vegetarian owl?)
There. Is a dropping. Cat scat. My cat done shat in my baby's room!
I sincerely apologize for having to post crap on the Internet (not unlike most of my posts). But desperate times call for desperate measures, as they say.
Do you see this furball?

It's her doing.
And it will be her doing and doing and doing unless I find a way to get the stank out of the carpet. Because we all know animals return to the place they can smell to go to the bathroom.
So ... any tips?
If not, it's me against the kitty! And hell hath no fury like a mama whose still-clean newborn baby's nursery is defiled with cat shat.
With apologies to I Can Has Cheezburger...

Rut oh! Looks like someone is getting a little cranky about the new baby. Since I have no cats, I can not help. Good luck fixing the shat problem ;)
Oh no! Maybe it was a one time thing, he was ticked off because the litter box was full or something? Luckily our cats have never done this. Now if you want to talk about puke, I can go on all day because one of our cats pukes every other day. It's fun. And we use Resolve carpet cleaner.
Vinegar? I've heard that works. They also sell some anti-pee/poop spray that you can spray on carpet.
That vinegar idea - or a lemon-based cleanser. Or you could shoot the cat.
Yikes! Good luck cleaning. Maybe baking soda? My best advice would be to not get a cat in the first place (but since I don't like cats, I'm a little biased! ;P )
My cat has done that at different times when she's mad at me for something or other. I ended up having to put plastic wrap over the area that she kept pooping on to keep her from continuing. She did stop then.
I heard that cats hate orange peel or is it the citrus in it so maybe if you leave some orange peel there or rub some near the area for afew days that will stop the kitty from leaving you a parcell
I am fighting the same battle with my furball! He's a 20 pound Maine Coone Cat. I'm going to try some of the comments suggestions...
I feel your pain! that would be a sh#%@ thing for a cat to do!
they love to do it against a wall. is it an outside wall? i read on the internet they like to do that. we just had to be tough and lock the cat out for several days so they HAD to poop outside and start a new habit!
eeps! Totally mad at you eh?
Hope the suggestions work!
That's more with pee than poop, but it certainly can happen either way. Could have also stuck to his butt and fell off there - that's happened to my kitty. Hopefully?
That is terrible! I don't have pets so sorry ... not much useful advice from me.....
Uh, yeah, that was about the time I started contemplating moving my indoor cat out.
