Under Awards

I didn't read as many blog posts as I should have this week because the Man-cub started preschool and I was dealing with severe mommy brain. But what I did read in the blogosphere this week didn't fail to disappoint, and I think there are some winners.

The Best Inappropriate Drawings on a Magna Doodle by a Sibling Award goes to Kristi at Interrupted Wanderlust for her sister's drawings at her daughter's Clifford the Big Red Dog themed third birthday party.

"The weekend ended with an art lesson from Aunt Karrie, who took some time away from contemplating motherhood...to offer Isabella some lessons on how to use her new Magna-Doodle to its fullest advantage. In keeping with the Clifford theme, I give you: Bleakman's Gesture of Neighborly Love and...Emily Elizabeth Gets a Job."

The Make People Named Holly Swoon and Weep with Joy Award goes to Chris of Life ... Or a Reasonable Facsimile Thereof. I cannot provide a preview here -- you just have to read the whole post and see his amazing photos of a life-changing sunset. Trust me, it's worth it.

The Best Non-Drug Drug Reference in a Comment Award goes to Heather of Cool Zebras, who last week suggested I call these the Doobie Awards. I profess my love for Heather. But I think the DEA is overworked already. So for now, I think I will just call these the Under Awards.
