Promises for moms

When the going gets tough, the tough eat chocolate. That's been my motto for some time.
It's great to have a couple of
Eating chocolate is even more fun when the candies come wrapped with cute sayings, like those Dove chocolates. Some of their sayings might have different meanings to parents, however:
"Do not look back and ask why, look forward and ask, why not?"
This is exactly how parents end up having more than one child.
"Think of something that makes you laugh."
Like the face my son made the first time he ate broccoli?
"Shut out the world for just a moment."
...and be prepared for the mess that shall surely await you.
"Share our similarities, celebrate our differences."
The kids may look like me, but logic is lost on them.
"Failure is only the opportunity to begin again more intelligently."
This means if the time-out didn't work, then try taking away a toy next time.
"Do a little more each day than you think you possibly can."
Right! Hey, no pressure or anything. Growing, birthing and raising a human being just isn't enough these days.
"Take a deep breath."
...and you're bound to smell a diaper that needs to be changed.
"Let your mind wander and dream."
...and your child will stick a crayon up his nose when you're not looking.
"A family that laughs together stays together."
Because nobody else gets the joke.
"Happiness is contagious."
So when your kids aren't happy, it's time for a mom's night out.
"Forget the rules and follow your instinct."
Bingo!
"Give yourself a break -- you deserve it."
Now we're talking!
"Love is the master key which opens the gates of happiness."
Love, thy name is chocolate!

Fabulous!
Love it! Those saying really are life applicable!
Oh and DOVE chocolates are THE BEST of all the chocolates sold in regular old stores. THE BEST
I only wish ALL my chocolate loving friends could come to Ft Wayne, IN and TASTE DeBrand chocolate's. I've never tasted ANYTHING like those.
I have a huge blue vase on the bookshelf in the living room the I keep filled with Dove. Dark and Peanut Butter for me, milk chocolate and caramel for the husband. Very nice treat when the baby is screaming.
Funny!
Especially the one about the mess that awaits . . .
OMG...that was awesome!!! Did you really eat all those chocolates in one sitting?! I'm impressed.
You really crack me up! I wish they'd print your revised quotes on those little pieces of foil. Then I'd at least get a good laugh every time I opened one up.
I've eaten more of those little bits of heaven since getting pregnant with Levi than I would like to admit. I'm pretty sure that I should be ashamed of the massive amounts of chocolate that I've consumed in the past couple of years!
Sigh. But what if you're not a chocolate lover? Will cookies do? :-)
Your insight is staggeringly spot on!
