Under Awards
Where is everyone this week? Is it the back-to-school doldrums? The prospect of this being a long weekend thanks to Labor Day? Online and offline, things just seem slow to me.
Anyway, I have a couple of awards for the under-awarded.
Mountain Momma Chronicles wins the Pink Potty Envy by a Husband Award for pointing out one of the more-fun realities of potty training:
Manic Mother wins the Important Public Service Award for a detailed roundup of ways anyone, everyone, can help children with cancer. Because September is Children's Cancer Awareness Month.
Happy Labor Day! ...'til next week....

"Right now she thinks it’s cool, she likes to sit on it in the living room watching Mickey Mouse Club, which is actually I think a fantasy of my husbands. I mean a toilet in the living room in front of the TV, complete with HD channels and his X-box 360? It’s a dream come true."

heh having a toilet in the living room would be kinda handy!
It's time to train Monkey Girl and I'm trying to convince her a potty in the living room is a fun and good thing.
Ha! Yeah, my kids pretty fascinated with his potty...not actually using it, mind you, just moving it around from room to room as his own personal throne.
It has been quiet here too. Hope your enjoying the long weekend and adventures in toilet training! We are trying to get some outside time in, between rain storms.
I am so honored, I do not know who to thank first, my daughter for actually being old enough to consider a potty and moving the thing back to the living room after i put it in the bathroom, and my husband for being a guy and well, you know. But mostly I would like to thank Fischer Price for making a pink potty which makes royal sounds when tinkled in.Drinks on me at the after party!
