Bribery

There are two things to know about me right now.

One, I'm feeling unoriginal. After being sick for two weeks (and before that, being sick for three weeks), I'm pretty run down.

Two, I am not above resorting to bribery to increase my popularity. But really, I'd rather say I enjoy giving gifts to people I love.

So.

Thanks to Heather at Cool Zebras, I signed on to participate in what she calls a "Pay it Forward game thingie." With the holidays coming up, it's a perfect time.

Here's how it works:

The first five people to post a comment here will get something from me, especially for you. I might even make it by hand.

Stop laughing! I have been known to make things.

This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:

1- I make no guarantees that you will like your bribe gift, but I hope you will.
2- I will give you something with you in mind.
3- Supposedly I have a year to get it to you. But it will NOT take that long. It might take 11 months.
4- The item will be a surprise. You will also need to send me an email with your mailing address if you are one of the first five commenters.

Here's the catch: You must do something similar on your blog and offer something to the first five commenters on your blog who agree to play along.

So the first five people who comment here, and are willing to pay it forward on their blogs, will get a gift in the mail from me!

When you get your gift, please let me know. If you like it, please post a photo of it on your blog and tell people what a cool chickie I am. If you hate it, then go ahead and flame me on Twitter.

Who's in?

Holly, you dear, sweet woman. Please don't include me in your gift giving - although I applaud the idea, I actually owe three people a "Pay It Forward" from over a year ago.

You are, however, a 'cool chickie' and I love you to pieces - so I am going to include you in tomorrow's post. Be prepared for a flood of extra readers. Well, maybe one or two, anyway.

And as for 'Pay It Forward' - is there a question you would like to ask Catherine Ryan Hyde, the woman who wrote the book? Because I am preparing an interview of her and I will be happy to include your question.

I'm in! I'm always too late to the Pay it Forward posts to join.

Plus I don't have to send anything before the holidays, so I can totally do this.

I like it, sounds like a fun idea and perfect for the upcoming holidays. Count me in. Just give me a couple of days to get my post up. My blogging has been sporadic at best lately. Glad you're feeling better. Sick for 3 weeks sounds bad.
