A fine way to spend a couple of weeks

The red pill or the blue pill?
Best Ways to Get Sick
1. Have a baby who wakes you up every hour or two (so you never sleep)
2. Have a child in preschool (known for being germ factories)
3. Make sure preschooler gives you slobbery kisses, ensuring you get hand, foot and mouth disease
4. With your resistance down, make sure you ignore clogged milk ducts, and get mastitis too

1. Take a flight somewhere, anywhere, and get the swine flu

Yeah. I never had mastitis, but there was the matter of that milk blister. I can assure you I never thought I'd be inserting a needle into that part of my anatomy to pop a blister.
Hope all is better fast for you!
Thanks, I'm still recovering. Remember that wilderness hiker who cut off his arm to save his life? Yeah, I know what you mean about your milk blister....
Well, this is all good advice (especially the throbbing boob part), but if it's all the same, I think I'll just avoid the "Tropics" altogether for a while!
I hope you're doing better soon!
OUCH! I feel for you Holly! We had to quarantine our 4 year old when he got swine flu. It was impossible to keep him away from the rest of us, but with the help of TamiFlu and alot of hand-washing we got thru it.
They actually need MORE LOVE when they are a hot sweaty coughing ball of contagious flesh.
Hope you are all better fastest!
Mastitis what a horrible thing. And being sick on top of it?! Ugh. Brace yourself for a long recovery. Try to rest ... it will be hard, but you'll need it. Trust me, I didn't follow my own advice when I had it -- twice.
Yuck! I hope that you all feel much better soon.
I sympathize with all of the illnesses, but especially mastitis!
oh no! Hope you both are getting better. It's nearly impossible to take of your sick self with small children to take care of also.
Only you could make mastitis sound remotely funny. I so hope y'all are all feeling better!!
We were wondering where you were!
Hope you're feeling better, just remember you're helping to build your children's immunities.
Matitis sucks! But conversations with hubby about pus are priceless! Thanks for sharing!
I'm glad you're getting better. I guess that's the bad part of mothering/nursing a child. I'm sorry you had to experience it.
I suffered through one bout of mastitis and that was enough to last me. I was lucky to have had a healthy hubby and baby to take care of me, though. Can't imagine if we'd all been sick at the same time. No fun.
Feel better!
Ok, my boob is throbbing just reading this post! I hope y'all are feeling better soon. And I'm interested in those crazy inventions?!
Ha, ha! That was such a commical post. Very well played out. I love when my husband participates in my blogging with me. My posts are always winding in crazy directions when he does.
I am so sorry that everyone is so sick. I am really sorry about the mastitis. I have heard that is one of the most painful things a woman can experience.
And I hope your husband gets over the swine flu quickly. We had it at our house and it only lasted a week or two. That was really incouraging wasn't it.
If you'd like to stop by my blog I'm at Cake Crumbs.
Ugh to mastitis. I never had it because I always used a breast shield. One of the few advantages of having kids who wouldn't latch. :)
Hang in there!
It stinks being sick while nursing. Glad to hear you're feeling better.
I am sorry to hear that you haven't been feeling well. :(
oh.my.gosh.
So sorry you were all so ill.
Sending be better vibes your way!
Oh no Holly! I'm so sorry to hear. I really hope you're feeling better these days are are finding rest when you can. I had mastitis with my daughter, and it was awful.
*hugs*
