So it's a new year -- what's the rush?
It's the new year, but you wouldn't know it around my house. The effects of the Ghost of Christmas Past are still everywhere. Including all those Christmas cookies. Well, sort of -- they're now on my hips.
We still have too much fun with the Santa getup.

And the gingerbread house the Man-cub decorated? It's indestructible.

I finally got a piece off but was afraid of chipping a tooth. And it tasted nasty.
Yes, I know my family needs to move on and get with the 2010 program. I should be making resolutions like lose30 20 pounds, start a business, compost our scraps, volunteer in the schools, learn to play a musical instrument, go back to school to get an MBA, be a more patient wife and mother and stuff like that.
All in good time.
I'm ready to say goodbye to 2009, even though it was a year that brought me my baby, and step into a new decade. I know today is the first day of the rest of my life.
No pressure or anything.
But I'm still going to take it one day at a time.
Happy new year!

One day at a time is perfect :)
Love the digger photo! hahaha
We are about to devour our gingerbread house then head out into the snow.
LOL about all the "break the gingerbread" pictures. Where on EARTH did you find a back hoe?
Ha! Love the gingerbread house mini-saga.
And, no worries. It used to be considered bad luck to put away the Christmas stuff before the twelfth night (the evening of Jan 4). You can just say you're being traditional by keeping some of it out. I don't put mine away until the 5th...and sometimes I'm even a little later than that!
Love the cutie house!
One day at a time is just how it should be. Enjoy! Happy New Year!
I don't even bother with trying to eat the gingerbread houses. They sit on our kitchen counters for a couple of weeks then just disappear into the garbage can. They're more for the activity than the candy around here. They do get hard as rock though don't they?
Love the photo of the little one in his Christmas duds.
Love the pictures...the children and the gingerbread house. Have a happy, healthy and wonderful 2010!
Ew. Gingerbread houses are always gross. Yuck. I just tossed my last batch of Santa cookies. Seriously, I can't button my jeans. The new year doesn't begin officially for me until Monday, when the kids are back at school and I can go back to my routine, retooled of course to include some resolutions of my own, better eating, exercise, something something, blablabla. A new decade. Gah. How did that happen?
Ha! Love the pictures of the gingerbread house. Those things never taste good. I should make houses out of all my baked goods, that might save me a few calories. :)
Your "should" list of resolutions sounds a lot like mine. Sigh. Happy new year!
Happy New Year!
Those gingerbread house pictures are hilarious.
And, yes, definitely one day at a time!
I'm right there with you on taking it one day at a time.
I am ROFL at your gingerbread pics!!!
I nearly lost it when I saw the Bobcat :D
Wishing you and yours a wonderful 2010.
