Take Your Cat to Work Day
Maisie is one of our cats.
We brought Maisie home from a local shelter. She turned out to be the most snuggly cat our family has ever known, and every night, she sleeps in all her tortoiseshell furriness on my husband's head.
(This is a good thing, because his hair is getting thinner and she keeps his head warm.)
Anyway, when I got home, sure enough, Maisie was gone. So I texted my husband back:
I'm so clever and glib.
His response was to send me this picture of Maisie in his office.
Either she was too embarrassed to be photographed full-frontal in my husband's messy office, or she was nervously looking toward the door because it's actually Take Your Dog to Work Day, and there might have been loud, slobbery dogs out in the hall. And I don't think she has ever seen a dog.
As you might know by now, my family has to be different, so yes -- my husband took a cat to Take Your Dog to Work Day.
Good thing his boss is already used to my husband's sense of humor.
