I am with you. However, picking up books and re-stacking them on the shelves a billion times a day is worth it. Especially when they enjoy them so much.

That's so funny. I bought books for my kids before I was even married!! I LOVE having books around - and what a better way to "spoil" your kids than with books?! Ebay is a GREAT source for bulk books, btw...

We have been taken over by books. I bought a ton of them when I was student teaching, teaching and now for the boys. I need to open my boxes and look for chapter books for my big kid since he is starting to read those in first grade. Oy! Note that we still keep buying more and keep them in the book shelve, rubbermaid containers and the floor.

you can never have too many books!

I put my books in a big tub, and rotate them, leaving out the very favorites. That way the kids feel like they get new books every few weeks. Sparks their interest all over again.
